Kiangnan. Kuang-hsü Dollar CD 1898 XF Details (Environmental Damage) PCGS, Nanking mint, KM-Y145a.2, L&M-217, Kann-71. Dragon with raised eyeballs variety, without dot in center of obverse (reverse as holdered). A beloved and highly collectible type that demands strong premiums even in Details grades. Though noted as "environmental damage" on the holder, the black residue on the obverse and reverse more likely represents the remnants of ink chopmarks, well-known on the Dollars of this series.
