MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AR tetradrachm (27mm, 17.4 gm, 12h). NGC VG 4/5 - 4/5. Late lifetime-early posthumous issue of uncertain mint, ca. 323-317 BC. Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / AΛEΞANΔPOY-BAΣIΛEΩΣ, Zeus enthroned left, right leg drawn back, feet on stool, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; no visible series marks. HGC 3.1 910. Note there is an error on the holder for the weight. From the Silas Collection
