Confederation 2 Francs 1901-B MS66 PCGS, Bern mint, KM21, HMZ-2-1202h. A key date with one of the lowest mintages of an extensively prolific Swiss series, boasting a total 50,000 pieces produced. While below the rarity of the 1857 and 1896 issues which find themselves collectible to only the most advanced collectors, the 1901 is itself wholly attainable, though, in lesser states of preservation. The piece at hand remains an impressive survivor, distinguished by the presence of a full mint brilliance enlivening argent fields and dressed in a champagne undercurrent, elevating the superior aesthetics of the piece at hand. Tied for the finest certified with two others at PCGS, this conditional rarity will surely inspire bidding consistent with its "Top Pop" status.
