Republic "Single Shaft" 5 Shillings 1892 MS63 NGC, Berlin mint, KM8.1. Mintage: 14,000. A fabulous and fully Choice Mint State representative dressed in a pervasive silty patination that light obscures what would doubtlessly be a luxurious mint bloom, still prominently swirling across gunmetal surfaces enhanced by a strong strike and touches of champagne. Certainly one of the more pristine representatives of the type we've handled in recent memory and perfect for the quality-minded collector. Sold with an old collection envelope.
