Charles I 1/2 Crown ND (1643-1645) MS61 NGC, Exeter mint, Rose mm, S-3065. 13.27gm. A type usually capped in the upper AU range by the presence of at least light wear, yet here seen uncirculated and with full detail preserved. Unevenly struck, representing the norm for this hammered issue, though with a mostly clear portrayal of the King on horseback. Lustrous primarily to the obverse, the reverse being more deeply patinated, with overlapping steel patina and emerald iridescence.
