BURGRED REX m (bar of contraction over X, Mercian M), diademed bust of Burgred right / Ð MoN | hEREFER |ETΛ, moneyer's name in three lines in and between two unbroken lunettes. In the cusp of Mint State, this scarcer Mercian offering presents expertly struck and centered devices, graced by a uniform, slate patina.
