Description
Saxony. Johann Georg II Klippe Taler 1669 AU53 PCGS, KM528, Dav-7632. A scarce commemorative Klippe type struck for the birth of the Elector's grandson (Johann Georg IV), later Elector of Saxony from 1691 to 1694. Graced with a natural and balanced steel patina that darkens subtly against the devices to accentuating effect, with clear detail exhibiting little actual wear throughout.
