A standout representative of this elusive and highly popular Taler issue featuring the rampant lion of Hesse-Cassel to the obverse and a stormy townscape to the reverse. The sole example of this variant certified by NGC to date, and notably among the finest recognized by that service for the type as a whole, with only an exceedingly small handful certifying choice. Strikingly toned over serene, glass-like surfaces, with an abundance of golden iridescence throughout.
