Constantinople, AD 830/1-840. *ΘЄOFI-LOS bASILЄ' Θ, facing bust of Theophilus, with short beard, wearing crown and chlamys, patriarchal cross in right hand, akakia in left / + mIXAHL S COnStAntIn', facing busts of deceased father Michael II (on left), wearing short beard, and deceased son Constantine (on right), beardless, each wearing crown and chlamys; cross in field above.
