Turks & Caicos Islands Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands 5 Shillings ND (1928) Pick 1p1 Front Proof PMG Choice About Unc 58. Although the Government of The Turks and Caicos Islands issued notes for approximately 30 years, there was only one 5 Shillings note, first issued in 1928. Interestingly, this Proof has an almost identical appearance to the 10 Shillings denomination, down to the color schemes and uniface back. The issued 5 Shillings note was printed in dark blue and yellow, with the colonial coat of arms on the back. This Proof is uniface, similar to earlier issues pre-1928. There are no serial numbers, dates, nor signatures. Mounting remnants are mentioned for accuracy. Quite unusual and certainly very rare.
