An always popular high denomination, this large format banknote features King George VI. Equivalent to approximately 10 Pounds at the time, this type had significant buying power which resulted in few of these notes being saved for posterity. Although dated 1942, the outbreak of World War II and defeat of the British in Malaya delayed the introduction of this banknote until the September of 1945. An iconic Commonwealth type. The visual presentation is quite good, as repairs were executed, which is commonplace for extant examples.
