Menelik II Birr EE 1887 (1895)-A MS64 NGC, Paris mint, KM5. A standout example decorated in lavish, colorful tones to the obverse, ranging from olive-green and crimson to vibrant orange-gold. The surfaces are decidedly glassy and vibrantly lustrous, with the reverse conveying a pearly iridescence that fully matches the splendor of the multi-chromatic obverse. Isolated contact marks establish the assigned grade, yet even then, this near-gem specimen easily appears outsized for this tier of certification.
