British Colony. Victoria Dollar 1868 MS62 NGC, Hong Kong mint, KM10, Prid-3. A very conditionally sensitive issue which is almost universally witnessed in inferior grades, with a survey of the certified populations showing just 2 pieces currently ranking finer. By far the nicest representative we have seen, glossy luster radiates over the fields and between the crevices of the devices, giving a sculpted finish to the designs. Blush tone towards the center bleeds into gold and turquoise accents as it reaches the edges, creating a pleasing framing effect. Perhaps the most mild wisping and light contact to Victoria's cheek precludes a finer technical designation, though we can only say that this is an exceedingly nice example both for the type and the grade.
