A charming, small serial number variety, this piece is enhanced by a startling vignette of a water buffalo. Interestingly, this note circulated in the newly independent Malay States and Singapore, and the British colonies of Sarawak, British North Borneo, and Brunei. By 1967, all included regions for this note began issuing their own currency, which rendered this type obsolete.
