China Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation, Peking 50 Dollars 1.1.1922 Pick S342cts1; S342cts2 Front and Back Color Trial Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 (2). Waterlow & Sons created this outstanding and very rare uniface set representing the 50 Dollar denomination for the Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation's Peking branch. To date, this denomination is only known in prototype format, which makes this an important opportunity to acquire this design from Peking. Hole punched cancellations, red overprints, and olive green ink confirm Specimen status on each side. Minor toning is seen, but that is to be expected after the century that has passed since this Color Trial was printed. This is only the third example we have offered.
