MAG PIVS IMP•ITER, the Pharos of Messana surmounted by a statue of Neptune right; in foreground, galley left adorned with legionary eagle, scepter and trident / PRAEF•CLAS•ET•ORAE•MARIT•EX•S C (AE and MAR ligate), the monster Scylla left, with three dogs coming forth from her waist and two fish-like tails flanking her, raises rudder over her head as if to strike.
