Central American Republic 8 Reales 1846/2 NG-A MS61 NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM4, WR-11, cf. Elizondo-106 (overdate unlisted), Stickney-C92. Strikingly brilliant and nearly medallic in its detail, this uncirculated 8 Reales beams luster brightly at the beholder around and within the recesses of designs revealing pinpoint accuracy. A uniform dispersal of friction, including light hairlines, limit the assigned grade designation. Only three examples tie for the finest at NGC, each a single point above the present piece.
