Central American Republic gold 1/2 Escudo 1847 CR-JB MS62 NGC, San Jose mint, KM13.2, Stickney-C99. A piece which exudes a soundly Mint State quality, the relatively poor quality of dies hardly hindering the coin's natural eye appeal, with even traces of the original engraver's guide visible along the obverse legends. Perhaps even nicer than the Mayer specimen, with 3 or the 4 specimens in his collection deemed to be circulated.
