An exceptionally scarce original Proof offering from British India, with only a small handful extant, rarely encountered at market within the last few decades. Argent, metallic surfaces enhanced by razor-sharp designs decorate this gem specimen, lacking in any significant frostiness typically seen on issues from Lahore. The present example finds itself tied for the finest certified by both grading parties, clearly besting the Pittman/Fore specimen offering from 2013. Sold with the original His Majesty's Mint paper envelope.
