Description

Ferdinand I Taler 1554-KB MS62 NGC, Kremnitz mint, Dav-8032, Voglhuber-50/II. A wonderful specimen certified just shy of Choice Mint State, this scarcer date Taler of Ferdinand depicts the emperor with scepter and sword in finely-engraved armor decorated in whimsical foliate scrolls, the reverse remains equally as impressive and well-preserved, boasting exceptionally little evidence of handling, making it apparent this piece was likely tucked away in a cabinet soon after issue. With lovely argent surfaces punctuated by crescents of iridescence, we expect this piece to draw the eye of any quality-minded collector.
