Charles I gold Unite ND (1625) MS62 NGC, Tower mint, Lis mm, KM150, S-2685. 9.15gm. First Bust. A crisp Mint State selection struck upon an expansive planchet of a lovely antique gold color. Despite the presence of the doubling that is often seen with hammered coinage, extensive detail and sharpness are evident in large areas of the legends and in the central design motifs. These features are set against consistently clear and attractive fields, which display no larger marks or distractions, and only the faintest hairline wisps that serve to cap the assigned grade.
