Charles II gold Cob 2 Escudos 1712 MS62 NGC, Bogota mint, KM14.2, Cal-1930 (under Philip V), Restrepo-M66.32. 6.74gm. Posthumous issue. A lovely and practically as-struck gold Cob with surprisingly well-centered features and fully readable date, the surfaces bearing no evidence of sea salvage which is sometimes associated with this type, some of which originate from the 1715 Plate Fleet. A thoroughly pleasing example of the type.
