Description

Auersperg. Heinrich Taler 1762 AU58 NGC, Vienna mint, KM1817, Dav-1181. A. WIDEMAN below bust. A scarce survivor produced to a total mintage of only 260 examples, consequently leaving few survivors, with NGC having certified just 4 total. Found on the cusp of Mint State preservation with only trivial cabinet friction defining the grade, the piece at hand is simply radiant as ample originality decorates the recesses of the legends, showing what lies beneath the gentle slate haze enveloping the central devices. The reverse crowned arms are especially fine, with every intentional detail fully bequeathed to the planchet below.
