Durango. Revolutionary "Muera Huerta" Peso 1914 MS65 NGC, Cuencamé mint, KM622, Elizondo-MX194 (per consignor; edge not verifiable in holder), GB-87. Of fantastic preservation for this renowned revolutionary type, with sleek, satin surfaces blanketed in olive-gray patina. Hardly a trace of handling is visible across either the devices or fields, with only a small planchet flaw noted underneath the right (left to viewer) wing of the reverse eagle, along with traces of die clashing in the form of rays projecting out from its torso, and minute die cracks traversing the features. Scarce so well preserved, and among the finest encountered by NGC, with only one MS65+ and one MS66 graded finer by that service.
