Republic Boliviano 1870 PTS-ER MS66 NGC, Potosi mint, KM155.1, WR-23, Elizondo-144. 11 stars, 4 leaves, "25G" variety. A top-tier one-year type radiating with underlying mint bloom, softly muted by an allover earthen patination witnessed to the recesses but lightly obscuring the trademark arms of Bolivia. The coin at hand finds itself as the highest certified by NGC for the year, and one of the most well preserved for the entire Potosi-minted Boliviano series spanning 15 years, with two other MS66 and a single MS66+. Ex. R.L. Lissner Collection (CNG-St. James's Auction 29, August 2014, Lot 1274); Purchased from Henry Christensen in November 1979
