Pedro II Counterstamped 1/2 "Balastraca" of 200 Reis ND (1864-1870) VG, KM-Unl, LMB-Unl., Bentes-603.02. 3.31gm. 20mm. Counterstamp ("200" within a rectangle) on a Cordoba Provincial Real 1841. A sought-after counterstamp issue almost never encountered on a coin that hasn't been cut. Rarely do these Cordoba issues find themselves as hosts of stamps of any kind. Likely struck during the perilous War of the Triple Alliance period.
