Jose I 150 Reis 1754-R VF Details (Plugged) NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM296, LMB-253a. Variety with SIGN - NATA transposed and written in retrograde (thus ATAN NGIS). A key rarity within the "J" series, seldom locatable in any condition, and most often found with the shield counterstamp of 1809. Altogether missing from the Vila Rica Collection, this is only the second example we have presented since the Paulistana piece in 2011.
