Republic Mint Error - Broadstruck with Reverse Brockage Yuan Year 55 (1966) MS66 NGC, KM-Y543. Commemorative type struck for Chiang Kai-shek's birthday. A multi-faceted error which displays a combination of a broadstrike, an incuse brockage impression of the reverse design upon the intended obverse, and a prominent flan crack apparently produced under the pressure of repeated striking. Carefully preserved such that hardly a trace of handling is evident throughout, this true jewel of a mint error should see considerable bidder interest.
