The four characters read (on the ring, from left to right): "Qi Dao" (Inscribed Knife) and (on the blade, from top to bottom): "Wu Bai" (Five Hundred). The more attainable of the two "key money" knives issued under Wang Mang, the piece exhibits sharp edges and original patina with no singularly distracting flaws.
