Dutch Colony. United East India Company Ducaton (Silver Rider) 1740/39 AU53 PCGS, Enkhuizen mint, KM130.1, Scholten-44c (RR). Plain edge. West Friesland issue. A popular and early Silver Rider Ducaton with obvious overdate and lightly struck features typical of the issue, most apparent to the faces of the two lions adorning the reverse. Despite this, the uniformly pearl-gray offering is a scarcely encountered representative, and one rarely seen so fine.
