Republic Tsao Kun silver "Inauguration" Medal ND (1923) MS63 NGC, Barac-149, KM-X1231, L&M-960, Kann-Plate 189, WS-0106. 36mm. Plain edge. With ring suspension. A medal rarely encountered so fine and struck for Tsao Kun's inauguration as President of the Republic, featuring a portrait of the leader in military attire and rendered with exacting precision. The uniformly pewter surfaces are remarkably absent of visual detractors and exhibit a soft golden undertone. A most interesting offering in Choice Mint State with its original suspension loop, a feature lacking on many other examples, contributing to the high number of Details designations; only two have certified finer. A rare opportunity to say the least.
