Taiwan. Republic gold Tael Ingot ND Good XF, KM-X Unl., L&M-Unl. 26x17mm. 37.47gm. Stamped in four main sections, the top row reading: "Jin Ruifang" (likely a gold shop or smith name), the right middle row reading: "Taipei" (Taipei city), the left middle row reading: "Qia Chi" (Fine gold), and the bottom row: "Lao Ping Yi Liang" (Old scale one tael). The first example of this interesting gold ingot we have seen. We would note that Ruifang is a district of Taipei, and so the stamps may refer to a nondescript gold shop, perhaps identified by the star-shaped stamps.
