Nicholas I 3 Roubles 1842-CПБ AU58 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C177, Bit-88 (R), Sev-637, Uzd-0403. One of the finer representatives of this slightly scarcer later date platinum 3 Roubles we have handled, with the majority of surviving examples coming heavily worn. Despite admitting friction on the very highest points of the design, the coin on the whole is admirably preserved, even containing a glassy, Prooflike finish over the fields; indeed, B.
