Description

Augustin I Iturbide gold 8 Escudos 1823 Mo-JM AU55 PCGS, Mexico City mint, KM314, Fr-60, Onza-1779 (Rare). The final 8 Escudos issue of the First Mexican Empire, struck just before Iturbide's downfall in March of 1823. Handsomely executed in the outer registers with a prevalent luster rolling over the surfaces, the central features showing typical weakness alongside mild adjustments and the light "peck" marks so often seen on the issue.
