Description

Revolutionary Counterstamped Peso ND (1872-1877) XF45 PCGS, KM-R7. Short key counterstamp on a Mexico Peso 1872 Zs-H, Zacatecas mint. Exceptionally scarce, more commonly seen on lesser 50 Centavos, and rarely offered in recent years. The only representative of the Peso we've sold in the last decade was the Standard Catalog of World Coins plate coin in August of 2020; the current example is a full 10 points finer and the finest seen by PCGS. A real rarity sure to interest Cuban and Caribbean countermark collectors alike.
