SYRIA. Antioch. Augustus (27 BC-AD 14). AR tetradrachm (29mm, 14.59 gm, 12h). NGC XF S 5/5 - 3/5, Fine Style. Dated Year 27 of the Actian Era and Consular Year 12 (5 BC). KAIΣAPOΣ ΣE-BAΣTOY, laureate head of Augustus right; bead-and-reel border / ETOYΣ-NIKHΣ, Tyche seated right on rocky outcropping, palm outward in right hand; half-length figure of river-god Orontes swimming right below, ZK (Actian date) above palm, ΠAX monogram and IB (consular date) above ANTX monogram in right filed. Prieur 51. McAlee 181. Struck from attractive, Fine Style style dies. Light porosity.
