Description

SICULO-PUNIC. Sicily. Ca. 300-289 BC. AR tetradrachm (22mm, 16.98 gm, 2h). NGC AU 4/5 - 4/5, light marks. Quaestors issue. Head of young Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / 'MHSBM (Punic), head and neck of horse left; palm tree behind. HGC 2, 295. Jenkins IV, Series 5b. Excellent deep cabinet toning with red and blue hues throughout.
