Description
João Prince Regent Contemporary Counterfeit 960 Reis 1811-R VF, cf. LMB-421 (for original). 40mm. 27.46gm. An intriguing specimen with worn silvered surfaces revealing a brass core, likely having seen significant use in circulation until the off-metal core was exposed. This example is completely lacking in evidence of an undertype and the reverse rotated 90 degrees, creating a variety unlisted in LMB.
