Spain Banco de Espana 100 Pesetas 1.6.1889 Pick 41 PMG Extremely Fine 40 Net. All 1884 dated banknotes from Spain are scarce, as most were redeemed over a century ago. Although this example is dated 1889, it was not issued until 1893. Additionally, a completely new design, dated 1893, was issued in 1896, which ceased issuance of the older type. Rare in any grade and desirable in Extremely Fine, this note has good colors and crisp paper. Typical mid-century repairs are mentioned for accuracy.
