Two handsome and rarely seen Empire notes are offered in this lot: the issued note and its correlating Specimen. The issued note has some repair associated with the fountain pen ink, along with some notations and mount remnants, while the Specimen has a rough corner. Nevertheless, the presentation is quite good considering the age.
