THRACE. Chersonesus. 4th century BC. AR/AE fourree hemidrachm (12mm). NGC Choice XF, core visible. Ancient forgery of a Chersonesus hemidrachm. Persic standard, ca. 400-350 BC. Forepart of lion right, head reverted / Quadripartite incuse square, pruning knife (?) and pellet, and AΓ monogram in opposite recessed quadrants. Cf. McClean 4061-4 for prototype.
