Anne silver "Union of Scotland and England" Medal ND (1707) AU Details (Obverse Scratched) NGC, Eimer-423, MI-II-298/115. 70mm. By J. Croker. This inviting example is one of Anne's most attractive medals, displaying stunning detail to her high-relief bust and is masterfully executed by John Croker. The charcoal to gunmetal fields are lightly brushed and exhibit scratches near the sitter's face but have retoned nicely to reveal scattered suggestions of cobalt and gold. An altogether wonderful representative of an important British medal.
