Anglo-Viking. Kingdom of York "Cnut - Cunnetti" Penny ND (c. 895-902) MS64 NGC, York mint, S-993, N-501. 1.31gm. +CVN (group of 4 pellets) NET (group of 3 pellets) TI, small cross pattee, pellets in second and third quarters / C-N-V-T at ends of long cross, R: in second quarter, E in third, + in fourth, and group of four pellets in first. A quite rare Viking type that seldom comes in finer technical states, this being tied for the highest grade yet awarded by either of the two major grading services.
