Description

Otho (January-April AD 69). AR denarius (18mm, 3.05 gm, 6h). NGC Choice XF 4/5 - 3/5. Rome, 9 March-mid April AD 69. IMP OTHO CAESAR AVG TR P, bare, bewigged head of Otho right / PONT-MAX, Ceres standing left, two grain ears upward in right hand, cornucopia in left. Cf. RIC I 20 (aureus). Phenomenal portrait and excellent style reverse.
