MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Philip III Arrhidaeus (323-317 BC). AV stater (18mm, 8.59 gm, 9h). NGC Choice MS 5/5 - 4/5, Fine Style. Lifetime issue of Abydus. Head of Athena right, hair in three tight corkscrew curls and loose over left shoulder, wearing triple-crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on head, divergent crest ends, the bowl decorated with coiled serpent right / ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟY, Nike standing facing, head left, wreath in outstretched right hand, stylis cradled in left arm; HM monogram above cornucopia in left field.
