Description

Carol I 5 Lei 1880-B MS65 NGC, KM12, Dav-272. Name near truncation. Essentially medallic in execution, with bold design features that soar over the fields. Speckled graphite tone dresses the obverse, the reverse expressing a soft sandalwood patina that concentrates against the devices to exceptional impact. Ex. R.L. Lissner Collection (CNG-St. James's Auction 29, August 2014, Lot 827)
