Description

Kingdom of Holland. Louis Napoleon 50 Stuivers 1807-B MS64 PCGS, Utrecht mint, KM28, Dav-228, Schulman-148 (RR). Mintage: 300. By F. George. Slant-Reeded edge. An extremely low-mintage date, and one of the great rarities hailing from the relatively short-lived Kingdom of Holland. With only 300 struck, as compared to the nearly 2.5 million the following year, all examples are scarce, but this rarity is amplified when one reaches Mint State echelons, and particularly that of a specimen so fine as the present selection. Toned in interwoven metallic color, with uniformly balanced underlying luster and bright amber highlights within the obverse legends. In an elite tier of preservation for the issue, and a clear target for advanced collectors of the Dutch series.
