Three pleasing denominations harken back to an earlier era. Each note here has the appearance of a 19th century type, despite a 20th century date. Tinted black and white schemes appear on all six uniface Proofs: each side of the proposed banknote. The $20 has a young portrait of Queen Victoria, which adds desirability to this scarce group. Printer dating and notations on the book pages indicate that these Proofs were prepared in advance of the actual issuance.
