Constantinople Commemorative (ca. AD 330-340). AE3 or BI nummus (17mm, 2.66 gm, 12h). NGC MS 5/5 - 5/5. Trier, 1st officina, AD 332-333, struck under Constantine I to commemorate the moving of the Roman capitol from Rome to Constantinople. URBS-ROMA, helmeted, bust of Constantinopolis left, wearing imperial cloak / She-wolf standing left, looking back, suckling twins Romulus and Remus; two stars above; TRP star in exergue. RIC VII 547.
