Maria I 640 Reis 1790-(L) VF Details (Reverse Tooled) NGC, Lisbon mint, KM222.3, LMB-352. Full Arch Crown variety. The scarcer variety of this rare type-date, and one which we have not encountered since 2012. Despite some strengthening of the texture within the band that crosses the globe to the reverse, the offering exhibits clear detail, steel-blue surface coloration creating a pleasing backdrop for the devices. A truly rare opportunity to acquire an example of this difficult and decidedly important issue.
